The Workshop Chair brings a playful approach to the wooden chair. The design creates a new perspective on archetypical Scandinavian design through its thin back shell and slightly curved seat that gives the chair its distinct look.

Product Material
The Workshop Chair is made with traditional techniques that places emphasis on workmanship and detailing. Frame and legs in solid wood, seat and back in shape pressed layer glued veneer.

Oak and Black: Seat and back in oak veneer while frame and legs are made in solid oak — all parts in a water-based lacquer. Oak veneer: slight color variations can occur due to the inherent characteristics of the material.

Lacquered Oak
Oak is a traditionally Scandinavian material with durable abilities against factors such as water and fungi alongside a high level of strength, giving it long-lasting properties fit for furniture.

Cecilie Manz

Cecilie Manz (born 1972 in Denmark) is a Danish industrial designer. She is considered one of the leading Danish furniture designers of her generation. In 2014, she won the Danish Crown Prince Couple's Culture Award (Kronprinsparrets Kulturpris). In 2017 she was awarded Designer of the year in the Design Awards by Bo bedre, Costume Living, Nordic Living and Boligmagasiet. Cecilie Manz extends the understanding of the function and aesthetics of design and challenges the established concepts of industrial design. Her work includes furniture, jewellery, lamps and sculptures.
