Motomi Kawakami

Motomi Kawakami

Motomi Kawakami was born in Hyogo prefecture in 1940. He graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. (Majored in Industrial Design) in 1964 and in 1966 finished his Master course. In 1966-1969 He started his professional practice at Angello Mangiarotti Architect Office in Milan and established Kawakami Design Office in Tokyo in 1971. He is a visiting professor at the universities in Japan. With his design work specializes in product, interior, space and environmental design, he collaborates in local industry promotion projects and professional education.
