Reflecting his keen sense of modern Functionalism, Mogens Lassen designed the iconic Kubus 8 candleholder in 1962. A design object that was initially only shared with family, good friends and fellow architects. In 2022, we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the original Kubus 8 by launching a limited edition called the Kubus 8 RAW. This is an identical version of the original Kubus 8 candleholder Mogens Lassen had made and kept on his desk, and which can be seen in photos of his studio from 1962. Just as the original, the new version is completely raw and untreated and will naturally develop a patina over time, thus becoming entirely one-of-a-kind in expression depending on the level of moisture it is exposed to.
