Kong by Philippe Starck, 2003

A timeless piece, built for lifetimes of use, to be kept, cherished and passed on for generations. Made to order. Built by hand from 80% recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania by our most skilled craftsmen. Guaranteed for life. First designed for the Chinese restaurant Kong in Paris. The one armed barstool was intended to make it easy and graceful for the guests to slither in and out of the bar. Kong requires the hand welding of 24 separate pieces of aluminum, and 8 hours of hand polishing. Standard glides: soft plastic TPU glides for all-around use, including outdoor use. Alternative glides available at an upcharge.
