Hecht and Colin approached the design of Herman Miller Formwork Pen Tray by examining the items that populate our lives and our desks. In their design for the small and large trays, they gave each a cantilevered ledge to allow the placement of items in order of usefulness thereby giving you easy access to some things and letting you place others in the background.

These stackable trays are designed to hold small office tools and personal items, and have an integrated ledge for convenient storage of other objects such as business cards or a pad of sticky notes. They are crafted of high gloss ABS plastic with a silicone base.
