Noriyuki Ebina

A prolific and versatile furniture designer based in Hokkaido Japan whose work is characterised by strong Scandinavian influence, a thorough understanding of hardwoods, and soft lines and subtle curves - a contemporary Japanese take on mid-century modern. Noriyuki Ebina graduated from the Tokai University Department of Design in 1982 and started his career with the Kenmochi Design Institute. In 1987, Ebina moved back to work with a furniture manufacturer. In 1992, he launched Prime Design Office in Asahikawa to provide design services for many of Japan’s leading furniture producers.
