Aima means “space or time in between something” in Japanese. As the name well expresses, the design feature of the lounge chair is the break in the arms. It’ s eye-catchy and adorning gathering places like a hotel lounge. The surrounding backrest and slightly inclined seat surface give a luxury comfort and firmly hold the body. This is the Japanese aesthetic interpreted as “incomplete beauty” by the French designer, Gwenael Nicolas.
